Salesforce
Salesforce is the most widely used CRM in the world: customizable, a vast ecosystem, but expensive in licensing and implementation.
Salesforce is the world's largest CRM system and has been the standard in the enterprise segment for years. The platform covers sales, service, marketing, and custom app development, plus AppExchange, a marketplace with thousands of extensions.
Corporations and larger mid-sized companies use it to map out complete sales processes: lead routing across country subsidiaries, forecasting, approval workflows, and SAP integration. There's hardly a process that can't be mapped, which is precisely its strength and, at the same time, its complexity trap.
For SMEs, this is often too much: Without an admin or implementation partner, Salesforce quickly devolves into an expensive address book. While the Starter Suite starts at just 25 Euros per user per month, realistic setups quickly cost many times that, plus consulting fees. Pipedrive or Attio can be productive in days, Salesforce more like months.
It's the right choice starting at around 50 sales employees or for complex processes requiring integration and a dedicated admin budget. Smaller teams will find Pipedrive or HubSpot much more comfortable to use.
