Calendly is the best-known tool for online appointment booking. You set your availability once, then just send a link, and the other person books an available slot. The tool automatically handles calendar entries, Zoom links, and reminders, and over 20 million people worldwide use it.
It's widely used for sales demos, job interviews, and consulting appointments. Handy for teams: Round-robin automatically distributes incoming appointments to currently available colleagues, and integrations with HubSpot, Salesforce, and Stripe cover follow-up processes.
However, the competition isn't standing still: Cal.com offers similar functionality as open source with a self-hosting option, and HubSpot already includes a meeting scheduler, so those already using the CRM often don't need Calendly at all. However, the free plan only allows for a single event type to be active.
Good for anyone who regularly coordinates appointments with external parties, from individual coaches to distributed sales teams. If your CRM already includes a scheduler, simply save yourself the extra subscription.
