Klaviyo
Klaviyo is the email and SMS marketing tool for e-commerce: deep Shopify integration, segments based on real purchase data.
Klaviyo is an email and SMS marketing platform built specifically for online stores. It has become a de facto standard in the Shopify ecosystem: order, product, and customer data automatically flows into the tool and is available for segments and automations.
Classic flows include abandoned cart reminders, post-purchase sequences, and win-back campaigns for inactive buyers. Its strength lies in its data depth: you can segment by order value, product category, or predicted next purchase date. SMS messages also run through the same flows and segments. Getting started is free for up to 250 contacts.
Compared to Mailchimp or Brevo, Klaviyo is clearly superior for e-commerce, but it's overkill outside of e-commerce, as the entire platform is built around orders and products. As your list grows, it quickly becomes expensive, with pricing tiers based on profiles increasing significantly. B2B functionalities are largely missing.
Almost a must-have for Shopify and WooCommerce merchants who want more than standard newsletters. Without an online store, you're better off with Brevo or ActiveCampaign, which offer broader features for the same price.
