make
Make connects your tools to automated workflows you build visually, without coding.
Make, formerly Integromat, is one of the two major automation platforms alongside Zapier. The principle: You connect apps to create scenarios, such as "New invoice in Lexoffice → Save document in Google Drive → Send message in Slack". Once built, it runs continuously in the background.
Its visual editor is its greatest strength. Every scenario is presented as a diagram, and with each run, you can see which data flows through which module. This makes troubleshooting and complex branching much more pleasant than in list-based tools. Typical uses include: lead routing from forms to CRM, invoice workflows, data synchronization between systems, social media posting.
Compared to Zapier, Make is noticeably more affordable once volume comes into play, but it has a steeper learning curve: Anyone who hasn't worked with data structures before will need a few hours to get comfortable with mapping and iterators. As an alternative, n8n offers self-hosting and more freedom for developers, but requires a technical setup.
Make is suitable for anyone who needs more than three or four simple automations and is willing to invest some time in learning it. For quick, two-step workflows, Zapier remains the more convenient choice.
